She Combines The Best Part Of An Apple Pie and An Apple Crisp And Creates This

It’s the season to bake everything apple and this dessert makes me so happy that it is. I am actually so anxious to make this because it has the two things that I love about any apple dessert.

It has the crust that I love from a traditional apple pie and the crumble topping that I love from an apple crisp. However, I am really looking forward to tasting the apple filling. My mouth was salivating from just watching this video so I’m pretty excited to make this dessert, if you can’t tell already.

Pie Crust:

1 1/4 cups (175 grams) all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon (2 grams) salt

1 tablespoon (15 grams) granulated white sugar

1/2 cup (113 grams) cold unsalted butter, diced

3 – 4 tablespoons ice cold water

Crumble Topping:

1 cup (130 grams) all purpose flour

1/2 cup (100 grams) firmly packed light brown sugar

1 teaspoon (2 grams) ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon salt

6 tablespoons (85 grams) cold unsalted butter, diced

2 1/4 pounds (1 kg) firm textured apples (about 4 large), peeled, cored, and thinly sliced (about 1/8 inch (3 mm) thick)

3/4 cup (200 grams) frozen apple juice concentrate (thawed)

2 tablespoons (15 grams) cornstarch
